National Breastfeeding Week 18th-27th June 2016
We're coming to the end of this year's National Breastfeeding Week and all accross Social Media there has been lots going on to support breastfeeding mums and try to help normalise breastfeeding. Here at Feed Me Mummy, I've had an offer on for 20% off Feed Me Mummy breastfeeding vests - who doesn't love a discount?! We also collaborated with Tea for Two - Perth on Facebook, who were doing lots of giveaways, including a Feed Me Mummy Vest.
There have been tonnes of photos on Social Media of mums breastfeeding using the hashtags #normalisebreastfeeding and #nationalbreastfeedingweek, and whilst I would have never been confident enough to do that myself, I salute the mums who have done as every little step helps towards showing people that there is absolutely nothing wrong in breastfeeding in public.
We should remember however, that not everybody's breastfeeding journey is easy and lots of mums choose not to. I've blogged before about the terrible time I had first time round, and the guilt I felt about not being able to breastfeed for long. It's been 7 years since my first tough experience and I still feel pangs of guilt from time to time, but I've learnt that as long as you have a happy well fed baby, be it with formula or breastmilk, and a happy mum, then that's all that matters xx
